Mollies are not much particular about the water quality and can withstand quiet a large water quality variations. They are omnivorous and feeds on algae, small meaty items and readily accept commercial aquarium diets given to omnivore fishes. Males can be distinguished by having bright colouration and a sexual organ gonopodium. They are ovoviparous and give birth to young ones.
