Rynkin are rounded or egg-shaped fancy gold fishes. They have large erect dorsal fin and fan type medium-size forked split tail fin. Good show specimens also have a double anal fin with complete separation. These are available in several scale types or color like solid reddish orange, nacreous which is speckled, and matt and whitish in color. Grows to a size of 15 cm or more. Omnivore and eat all kinds of fresh, frozen, and flake foods. For high quality colours, feed them brine shrimp (either live or frozen), blood worms, Daphnia, or tubifex. They are quiet hardy fish and can tolerate very low temperature nearing to freezng point. However, the optimum temperature is 18- 22 °C, pH 6.0 to 8.0 and hardness  5 - 19° dGH. Egg layers that spawn readily in the right conditions both in aquarium and pond conditions.
