Research Focus

Research Areas:Conservation & Captive breeding of endangered fish, Fish Milt Cryopreservation

Current Research Projects:

  • CRP on Agrobiodiversity: Evaluation of fish germplasm from Indo-Gangetic rivers for their captive breeding, domestication, and conservation aquaculture (NBFGR HQ component)
  • Fish milt cryopreservation for broodstock development and quality seed production
  • Evaluation of new candidate species striped murrel, Channa striata under Biofloc Aquaculture System for livelihood enhancement of farmers of Uttar Pradesh
