Species diversity and distribution patterns of deep-sea fishes
Integrative taxonomy and molecular phylogeny of Indian marine fishes
Biodiversity and fish biology studies
Current Research Projects:

  • Taxonomic studies of the deep-sea fish resources along southern coasts of India
  • Unraveling the Genetic Diversity and Population Structure of Chromis viridis in Indian waters.
  • CRP agrobiodiversity: Conservation aquaculture of endemic fish species from peninsular rivers through captive propagation and culture evaluation (PAGR component)
